YOU can help send AMP to NYC!

Yes, the American Music Program is heading to Lincoln Center in the heart of New York City in mid-May.

Why? We’re one of fifteen finalists for the 2013 Essentially Ellington festival, that’s why.

But we need your help to get there. Yes, YOU.

How can you help, you wonder? Three ways:

  1. By attending AMP’s upcoming benefit fundraiser on Monday, April 22nd at Jimmy Mak’s (more details to come soon – but you know you want to save the date for this if you’re in the Portland, Oregon area!)
  2. Not in town/won’t be in town? Don’t be shy about sending this oh-so-worthy 501 (c)(3) non-profit a few dollars via PayPal to help pay for travel expenses. (You can probably write it off as a charitable donation.)
  3. Know of a donor, non-profit organization or other group that might be able to help? Are you an experienced grant writer – or do you know one, by chance? Email me:

(FYI, we’re a small group of parents & supporters trying to further jazz education for a bunch of wickedly-talented kids – no staff, no corporate underwriters, no school funding or support and definitely NO deep pockets over here, don’t you know…)

Thank you for all that you do to support these kids – even if it’s just by spreading the word &/or cheering us on. We all deeply appreciate YOU!
